Lakeland Leadership Camp 2017

The Power of One.

One Passion, one purpose and one goal can drive an athlete, coach, or team to be their very best.

The Impact of One

One player, one play, and one game-changing moment can transform the course of competition and bring victory.

Everything comes down to One.

There is power in One Gospel. There is power in One Truth. There is power in our One Great God who transforms hearts and brings victory in our lives.  As Christian athletes, when we stand together with one passion, one power, and one purpose there is great impact.

"Grab Your Cleats" Report

What God has done and continues to do at Crystal Lake Middle School is nothing short of incredible. We had a vision to see the "Grab Your Cleats" Healthy Campus Model put into action with the hope of consistently impacting as many students as possible.

The first step was to connect this campus to a local Adopting Church. Grace City Church has stepped up in a big way. Under the care of Campus Coach Matt Bifulco and a team of volunteers from that church, this Huddle has thrived. 100+ students meet every Friday morning to hear about life principles, and the hope of the Gospel.

One of the most exciting aspects of ministry on this campus is that several students who previously did not attend church are now regularly participating in activities at Grace City Church.

The FCA culture is well established on this campus and is proving to have lasting impact in the lives of students outside of the weekly Huddle.

Huddle Report

It has been an amazing school year! The ministry of FCA on area campuses has grown in ways that we never could have dreamed! More students than ever before are attending the student led Huddles, and we are seeing those students connected back to local churches as never before! Campuses that have had no FCA ministry are now being served.

If you have a student moving up into Middle School or High School and would like to know more about how FCA operates on the campus where they will be attending, you can contact us about specific Huddle meeting times.

If you would like to know more about how you can join us in praying for our local campuses over the summer #off-season/on mission, contact us for more information.

Summer Prayer Team Logo

Join Us in Praying for Our Schools

Athletes understand that great seasons are made in the "off season". Hard work and perseverance when no one is looking prepare you for the spotlight during the season.

As our ministry focus shifts from Campus to Camps during the summer, we understand that we must stay on-mission if we hope to see amazing things accomplished for Christ when the school bells ring in August.

We are launching our "Off Season/On Mission" Summer Prayer Campaign, and we would like to invite you to join the team! If you would be willing to pray daily for the campuses the we serve let us know!

In addition to a daily Facebook post, you will receive a prayer calendar that lays out our campuses with suggestions and items for prayer. We know that without the presence and power of God moving on these campuses we labor in vain.

Bring others into this Off-Season preparation! Include your Sunday School Class, Bible Study Groups, Family Worship.

A Day On the Greens gets Kids to Camp!

We are just a few short months away from the FCA Camp Season. That means hundreds of students, athletes and coaches getting the opportunity to hear the Gospel and grow in their faith over the summer.

Our annual "Spring Fling" Golf Tournament raises scholarships dollars that make it possible for deserving kids to attend camp.

We want to thank all of our Business Sponsors and Golfers for their generous support of this event. Thank you to Huntington Hills Golf & Country Club for their amazing hospitality and beautiful course.

We will be announcing our date for the 2018 "Spring Fling" soon.

Community Huddle 2

Impacting the Community

Community Sports Leagues can also be a place where the Gospel is shared with coaches and athletes.

Recently, FCA Area Representative, Isaac Maldonado had the privilege of speaking to young men from Hardee and Ft. Meade High Schools who were participating in a community football league. Our prayer is that they will come to know Christ as the Savior and take the Good News back to their campuses. We are thankful for coaches like Jermaine King and Donald White who desire to have an eternal impact on their players. Pray that their influence for Christ will bring much fruit.

Kathleen High School Spring Sports Breakfast

Athletes at Kathleen High School were treated to breakfast and invited to participate their athletic prowess at different stations where they could earn tickets that they could redeem for prizes.

The theme of redemption continued as Pastor Justin Barnett from Trinity Life Church shared with the students how their debt of sin has been completely paid for by the death of Christ.

Thank you to Justin and Danielle Barnett for serving this campus! Thank you to Coach Anthony Troutman for serving as Huddle Sponsor for Kathleen High School!

Palm

Coaching for Christ

First year teacher and coach Meagan Palm has a heart to see her students and athletes come to know Christ.

Meagan attended Houghton College where she played on the Women's Volleyball Team. In her freshman year she knew that coaching was definitely something she wanted to do.

"As a coach I can not only help my athletes improve on the court, I also have the opportunity to help them improve as young women."

Using the FCA Core Values of Integrity, Serving, Excellence, and Teamwork, Meagan can have meaningful conversations with her team. She can show a concern for them that goes beyond wins and losses.

Meagan would be the first to admit that she has a lot to learn both as a teacher and a coach, but she knows that God has placed her where she is for a purpose.

We praise God for Coach Palm and look forward to the fruit that her ministry with FCA will have on the campus where she serves Christ.
