2012 FCA Golf Marathon
On May 5th, 2012, West Central Florida FCA hosted a Golf Marathon at the Lake Wales Country Club. Present were 16 golfers, almost as many caddies, and a masseuse. The event was put together to generate funds for various outreaches such as summer camps, coaches bible studies, coaches retreat, and our first 7 on 7 tournament! The golfers committed their personal time to gather donations for the tournament, as they were to play at least 100 holes of golf in one day! Each golfer received a players package (Center State Bank - bag) containing a PING golf shirt with the FCA logo, a sleeve of TITLEIST golf balls also with the FCA logo, various discount cards to local restaurants and stores, energy bars and drink, FCA belt lapel, and more! What a fun day it turned out to be! The person(s) that raised the most funds (Rob Ferguson and Andy Baldwin) was announced the winner of a 47" LCD TV along with other great prizes!
