North Ridge

North Ridge FCA serves the north-east corridor of Polk County—stretching from Davenport’s fast‑growing suburbs to the heart of rural towns like Polk City. With roughly 10 elementary, 6 middle, and 5–6 high schools right within city limits—and colleges such as Polk State College (Winter Haven), Southeastern, Warner, and Florida Poly just minutes away—the region offers a rich setting for FCA’s Campus, Club, and League ministries.

South Ridge + North Heartland

This FCA region serves a rich blend of city corridors and agricultural communities—spanning Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Frostproof, Fort Meade, Dundee, Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Placid, and Wauchula. Within Polk County alone, FCA connects with approximately 20 public elementary, 9 middle, and 7 high schools, and partners with post‑secondary institutions like Polk State College (Winter Haven and Lake Wales centers), Warner University, and Webber International University.

We ENGAGE relationally with others in a variety of environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives, and sharing the Gospel. We strive to connect with coaches and athletes where they are at on their spiritual journey.

EQUIP

After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to EQUIP them with Christ-centered training, tools, and ongoing support. We desire to Equip them with God’s Word so they can grow in Christ and help others know and grow in Him.

Empower

Once equipped, we EMPOWER coaches and athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others. We desire to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to make disciples who do the same to others.

We’re all trying to prove something: our spot on the team; being captain material; being accepted by our peers; earning success and accolades; even love. But we don’t have to keep striving to prove our worth; God has proven everything for us through His Son Jesus Christ. WHAT WE CHOOSE MATTERS We have a choice about what we spend our time on, how we spend it and to whom we give it. We’ve committed to God’s team. We’ve cultivated our faith to receive God’s love more and become more like Jesus. Now, will we choose to love like Jesus? �God wants you to love your coaching staff, teammates, team manager and everyone involved in the program. It’s not by accident that you are together. But you can be certain of one thing: God has you where you are, with the people you are with, for however long you are with them, so that they can experience God’s love for them through you.

We kicked off our first All-Athlete Huddle at MAT with an awesome turnout! ? ➡️ Student-led by McKeel’s own Logan, who opened strong with a devo from Matthew 7—reminding us to build our lives on a firm foundation in Christ. Like the wise man, we’re called to not only hear God’s Word, but act on it. ? In breakout huddles, we dug deeper: ✨ “When was a time you had to stand on your firm foundation?” ✨ “What did you do to stay firm?” And… by popular request from last year… yes, we finished with a Gatorade chug + bottle flip relay ??
