NEW STUDENTS

 Schedule Your Zoom Call

Scheduling a zoom call allows us to get to know you and your parents, explain more about ELE, and let you ask questions! Please note you must have at least one parent or legal guardian on the zoom call. If you are new, please schedule your zoom call with Tom Parker.

 ELE INFO

We want to get you to ELE in the best shape possible,
so here are a few FAQ's and helpful resources to get you started.

  • What is the Emerging Leader Experience?

The FCA Emerging Leader Experience was created out of a desire to see ongoing high quality leadership training made available to the students we serve.

    ELE consists of:

    • MONTHLY SESSIONS - covering in-depth leadership training
    • COMMUNITY OUTREACH - spring and fall opportunities
    • LAKELAND LEADERSHIP CAMP -A scholarship to the FCA summer leadership camp
    • SLU101 SUMMER INTENSIVE - Fundraise for 101 Student Leadership University(SLU). ELE offers fundraising opportunities throughout the year!
  • What should I bring to each session?

    • ELE Booklet - given at the first session
    • Pen
    • Water Bottle
    • Any fundraising monies earned since the last session
    • Per the "Deposit" tab - please bring your SLU deposit to the first session!
  • Interview Best Practices

Whether you are a new student or a returner, everyone can implement best practices for your ELE Zoom interview. Here are our tips for success:

    1. Pick a quiet space with a good internet connection.
    2. Position your camera in a stable position, focused at eye level, if possible.
    3. Wear business casual attire: Men: short-sleeved button-downs or collared shirts. Ladies: casual dress or blouse.
    4. Have at least one parent or guardian present.
    5. Have a notebook or piece of paper ready to take notes or write down questions you have along the way.

  • INVITE A FRIEND!

Now that you have your zoom scheduled, INVITE your friends who you think would be a good fit for ELE. We are looking for students who exhibit a desire for Biblical leadership growth, are committed to the session dates and fundraising goals, and would be an asset to our program.

If you have someone in mind, tell them all about it and send them the link to our website: westcentralfloridafca.org/ele
