ELEMENTARY MINISTRY

As the Gospel is shared in the context of ongoing relationships, students will be drawn into community where they will be equipped and empowered to make disciples on campus.

“This huddle started in April of 2017, focusing on just the 2nd grade classes. It went so well, that the Principal asked if we would expand to reach all of grades for the 2017-2018 school year. We meet weekly and have been averaging just over 100 students. "

“The FCA Huddle at Carlton Palmore Elementary is finishing up its’ second year. We currently serve 18 students (3rd, 4th and 5th graders) who have been identified as “at risk”. It’s been amazing to see their interest and hunger for Truth as they continue to be so faithful in attendance. Evidence that they are growing can be seen in the way that they feel comfortable leading in prayer as we open and close out our sessions. They’ve also gained more awareness of Old and New Testament books as they practice digging into His Word each week. Teachers have commented on improved behavior among some students, and we’re excited about all that the Lord has done!”

“The doors that FCA has opened at Medulla are amazing. We started small this year with 10 kids after school. We were able to see what worked and what didn’t work and more importantly establish great relationships with each student. This year we have also been able to provide two teacher appreciation breakfasts, over 40 Thanksgiving baskets for Medulla families, and a small Christmas gift for each child for grades K-2. Next year we will be looking for the FCA group to grow as we are working with the PE coach to invite kids.”
